Ways to Prolong the Service Life of the Die Casting Mould

1. The sealing and aluminum skin in the use of die casting mould


In the use of the die, there will be sealing and aluminum skin on the die-casting die for various reasons. At this time, it must be cleaned in time, otherwise, the die-casting die will be crushed by continued production. Especially for the sliding block, if the aluminum sheet enters the slide, the sliding block will collapse and be damaged due to the very large clamping force of the die casting machine. Therefore, in case of such problems, the mold must be cleaned in time, the causes must be found, and the mold must be repaired in time. Otherwise, the die-casting die will not be repaired until it is damaged, which will seriously affect the service life of the die.


2. Maintain the die casting mould regularly


Die casting mould has been continuously produced under high pressure, high speed, and high temperature, so the service conditions are relatively poor. During use, the mold will be damaged or there will be hidden trouble. Therefore, it is very important to strengthen the maintenance of die-casting molds, regularly maintain molds, replace damaged parts, replace vulnerable parts, and clean slideways and ejector rod holes. It is to ensure the reliability of the die in die-casting production, and it can also prolong the service life of the die-casting die.


3. Temper the cavity of the die casting mould to relieve stress regularly


Due to the continuous impact, thermal expansion, and cold contraction of die-casting die in use, new internal stress will be generated. If it is not eliminated in time, the die is easy to crack or on the surface. Therefore, regular stress relieving for the die casting die cavity to eliminate stress is also an important means to prolong the service life of die casting dies. Generally, after the mold is put into use, it should be tempered for the first time after 3000-5000 mold times. In the later use, according to the use situation, it is generally necessary to carry out tempering stress relief for the mold cavity for every 10000 molds produced, which can greatly prolong the service life of the mold.
